Juha Hyyppä is full professor of remote sensing and photogrammetry and director of Finnish Geospatial Research Institute Remote Sensing. He is Vice-Director of Finnish Forestry Flagship UNITE (2020-2024). He has a D.Sc. in sensors and Electr. Eng (1994), Dr. Forestry (hons, SLU) and Associate professorships in Laser Scanning and Radar Technologies, Laser Scanning of Forests, and Space technology (from Aalto and Helsinki University). He was PI of Academy Finland Centre of Excellence in Laser Scanning Research, 2014-2019. He is interested in new laser scanning technologies, drone and mobile mapping, autonomous driving and applying them into various applications. He has co-educated 19 professors. He has an H-index of 82 in Scholar. ________________________________________In 2019, the ISPRS Keynote Speaker Programme was initiated to provide an opportunity for ISPRS Ordinary, Associate, and Regional Members to enhance the scientific quality of their events and to attract more participants by inviting top quality international experts to speak.
